KIIT University or Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University in Bhubaneswar was founded in the year 1997. The University is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE. KIIT has acquired the University status granted by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. On account of its outstanding performance in education and training, it has entered the Limca Book of Records as the youngest University in the country. The academic programs at KIIT are approved by the statutory bodies of the Government of India such as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI), and Bar Council of India (BCI) as applicable.
